At Gors Community School we strive to provide the finest opportunities to ensure that your child achieves their best in a caring and stimulating environment. We ensure that during their time in school that pupils should:
- Become literate, orally articulate and develop good communication skills;
- Develop an understanding of the local and wider community, and of global citizenship;
- Be fit and healthy, and become aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle;
- Develop mathematical concepts over a broad area, including the ability to solve problems related to real life situations;
- Learn to care for the environment and the world around them that is rich in heritage and culture;
- Develop the basic ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh;
- Become ICT literate and be skilled in the use of technology as a tool for learning;
- Develop high self-esteem and respect for their own beliefs and those of others;
- Develop physically, sociallym emotionally intellectually, creatively and spiritually; and
- Demand of themselves high standards of work and presentation in all areas of the curriculum, appreciating the cross curricular nature of subjects in a meaningful context.
Underpinning this is the commitment of staf to actively seek to raise standards and who take part in an on-going reflective self-evaluation process.
